Healing with acupuncture and Chinese herbs
2000 years of experience of Chinese doctors lead to one of the most fascinating ways of healing.
Acupuncture Today
Today, Chinese medicine enriches the healing possibilities of “western medicine” across cultures. Acupuncture and herbal treatment are the key concepts of Chinese Medicine. They are based on standardized medical theories, and if applied consistently, lead to excellent treatment results. Acupuncture has become indispensable for the treatment of pain and healing of chronic diseases. Since 1979, acupuncture has been an internationally recognized and recommended treatment for more than 40 diseases.
Effects of acupuncture
Fine needle insertion during acupuncture inhibits the transmission of pain from the spinal cord to the brain. The body releases endogenous chemicals, which result in an effect that is often only achieved by other drugs when taken systemically in the form of tablets and injections. Certain brain centers produce analgesic and anti-inflammatory substances after acupuncture. Other released chemicals result in a mentally balancing effect. Recent findings show that acupuncture promotes immunological mechanisms for regeneration of damaged tissue.
Acupuncture performed by Dr. Klose is based on the principle of yin and yang, according to the “I Ching”, the “Book of Changes”. The principle of yin and yang can be understood as a digital code and the acupuncture can be seen as reprogramming of the body and mind.
Benefits
When properly conducted, acupuncture is virtually free of any side effects and is an essentially painless treatment. Very fine, one-use disposable needles are used, ruling out the possibility of transmission of diseases.
Duration and type of treatment
An acupuncture session lasts about 60 minutes. A series of treatments involves 4-25 treatment sessions with intervals between 1 and 14 days, depending on the disease.
Uniqueness of Dr. Klose’s treatment
Dr. Klose works according to the balance method of Dr. Tan, whose personal student Dr. Klose has been for years. The balance method is based on the original writings of Chinese medicine and knowledge that was shared only through the family tradition, thereby finding its way from China to Taiwan. It was then further adapted to today’s society by Dr. Tan. Dr. Tan’s balance method not only treats acute and chronic pain very effectively with immediate results, but also shows effects on complex syndromes that are not easy to understand or treat with traditional medicine, such as “chronic fatigue syndrome” or “fibromyalgia”.

Treatment costs are borne by the patient; however, many private insurance companies will partially or completely cover the cost of treatment.
